The Town of Spring is a novel I started in November 2010 during NaNoWriMo. I didn’t finish, and I think not finishing was a good thing. It’s still alive, but requires a kind of energy I feel only comes about every few months for me. As it is a novel that I am posting as I write it, with no revisions, it has more than a couple red herrings, over-emphases, leads that may not end anywhere, etc. I’m still struggling with basic fiction conceptions of things like structure and plot and even a coherent voice, and I think the project shows that. Still, I’ve learned a lot doing this, especially doing it publicly, and I hope parts are enjoyable.
